Dear Friends,
We can clearly see the magnetic effect of the new leaders emerging in the world when we consider South Africa's Nelson Mandela, Burma's Aung San Suu Kyi, East Timor's Banana Gusmao amongst many others not so well known in the world. Their radiatory effect gathers their people to the banner of their vision. The impact of this vision is to shake old practices, beliefs and regimes that have run their course and have been shown as repressive and as militating against the evolving, externalising life of their nation's psyche.
The visionary energy which draws them is the magnetic appeal of the future which draws us all forward - building step by step on the foundations of the past. We envision and therefore create that future out of the substance of our dreams, aspirations and intentions. The creative imagination creates indeed! In the beginning we imagine the future "as if" it existed and then we become consciously aware of that which we have - with hope and spiritual expectancy - sought to create. We discover this as an existent fact and thus know past all controversy that "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen".
By both creating the future and being magnetically drawn to it we draw together the substance of our destiny and bring about the salvation of the planet. We become world saviours. Christ embodied the example for us to follow - working with the essential nature of all things and not limiting them to their current point of external realisation. We too have this capacity within us. The Tibetan Master, Djwhal Khul, tells us of "the joyous use of the Will of Christ, immanent in every form, and peculiarly active in the form of humanity, and therefore capable of joyous and understanding use ... that sacrifice signifies happiness and a joyful process of making desire 'holy' releasing the energy confined and imprisoned on the astral plane into 'enlightened' service upon other planes the atrophying of the substance of the astral plane, the merging of 'lightened' substance with that of other planes, the use of the substance of light as a medium of spiritual destruction." The "Will of Christ, immanent in every form" is, therefore, immanent in us - spoken of in the Bible as "Christ in you the hope of glory."
The saving, the redemption, of the planet is in the redemption of the many grades of substance or of that which substands the outer forms, physical, astral, mental. The future vision casts light onto the old forms we have not previously thought to notice for we have taken them so for granted. It then becomes clear what forms are no longer appropriate for the manifesting life. These can then be discarded, destroyed and substituted by that which is new and more suitable to the advancing point. In this way the substance of light clarifies and becomes a "medium for spiritual destruction". When we are distracted by outer happenings - and these can often seem dire and overwhelming - we can wander out of the light and become blind to the greater movement rippling out and transforming the outer garment of Life.
We are reminded that "a great process of elimination is forever going on, accompanied by a paralleling process of substitution. That which is rejected and which is occultly thrown out as no longer serving the purpose of the planetary Logos is replaced by that which 'Will measure up to the purpose of the Father"'. The new energies - the new substance - of purpose, or that which emanates from the future, are "the living substance which is substitutory in nature and which is made available to the progressing point of light". The realm of pure reason, where the planetary life is brought into relationship with the universe, is called the "plane of 'transitional ejection' - a level from which the new and assembled energies are 'let loose upon the world of outer forms"' - and thus the future, and our place in the universe, conies into being.
As long ago as the 1940's, the Tibetan wrote:
"the radiation from the world of souls has greatly intensified and the Kingdom of God is becoming a corporate part of the outer world expression, and this for the first time in the long, long history of humanity.
The effect of this radiation or magnetic aura is now so extensive that we need no longer talk in terms of bringing in the kingdom or of its manifestation on Earth. It is already manifesting, and its aura is commingled with the mental, astral and etheric auras of mankind. Recognition only is required, but... recognition is being withheld until the kingdom of souls can be safeguarded from the narrow claims of any church, religion or organisation; many will claim (as they have ever done) that admittance into the Kingdom of God is to be found through their particular separative group. The Kingdom of God is not Christian, or Buddhist, or to be found focused in any world religion or esoteric organisation. It is simply and solely what it claims to be: a vast and integrated group of soul-infused persons, radiating love and spiritual intention, motivated by goodwill, and rooted in the human kingdom, as the kingdom of men is rooted in and is a break-away from the animal kingdom."This New Year, perhaps more than any other we may have experienced, highlights the turning tide of Life as it emerges in the world. We take for granted now what was undreamed of 2,000 years ago, a millennium ago, a century ago and even a year ago. It is a new moment and a new race is emerging from the old. If we lose the sense of greater, planetary, proportion we can be pulled backwards and forwards in the maelstrom between the new incoming energies and the old outgoing forces. Clear and purposeful direction is maintained by a determined identification with what we essentially are and what we are then to become in outer expression. Those who can "see" the future and can therefore lead the way to it can participate in the "united clear thinking and convinced awareness" of the custodians of divine purpose and the destiny of humanity.
To all our friends and co-workers:
A Happy New Year and an Enlightened New Millennium!* * * * * *
